Experience Insolvency Administrator

Location: Dunfermline, Fife
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid options

Our pristigous accountancy client is seeking an experienced Insolvency Administrator to join the insolvency team. The successful candidate will support Managers in the administration of a portfolio of mainly corporate insolvency cases, with potential involvement in personal insolvency matters. You will also take responsibility for managing your own portfolio of smaller cases.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assets: Assisting with the realisation of assets, including book debts, property, cash at bank and other recoveries.
  • Creditors: Managing creditor claims, responding to queries, and providing updates where required.
  • Banking: Liaising with banks to obtain account balances, statements and other relevant information.
  • Employees: Assisting with the preparation of initial employee correspondence, reviewing employee claims, and liaising with employees, the Redundancy Payments Service (RPS), and pension providers.
  • HMRC: Preparing and submitting relevant statutory returns.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Responding professionally to telephone and written enquiries from stakeholders.
  • General Administration: Providing support across the insolvency team and assisting with the smooth running of cases.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–3 years’ experience working within an insolvency environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to delivering a high-quality service to clients and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and document management systems. Experience with IPS Cloud would be desirable but is not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach with strong attention to detail.
